Will the Gamewell Diaphone website go away?

Post by David » Sun Dec 09, 2007 10:48 am

It has the potential to... Every year (in January) the costs of the web hosting and domain name(s) fees rear their ugly heads.

For those of you unaware, I am recently single (no longer a second income in the house) and have given up my home business of web design and computer repair because of having to devote more time to my new job and keeping up myself and the house without any help .

While my business website is still up at the moment, it will becoming down soon. It was the primary host for this site, but now that I no longer have my business, there is nothing to absorb the hosting costs and domain name fees for this site. In other words, this site is the primary reason I have web hosting fees etc. at the moment

Yes, I know these aren't anyones problems, but they still affect the longevity of this site. For years I have had a donation link on all the pages of the main site yet not one soul has donated. I know other sites ask for and get donations, like Adam's site (I know, several years ago myself and a few others made donations)

So, this is just a reminder that I take checks, cash at your own risk, money orders, and PayPal .

Please help keep this site alive and me from dealing with debt collection agencies! lol

Sirens on fire stations are a dime a dozen but nothing is more thrilling than to find a Diaphone perched above one.

Potentially, but personally I HATE ads... I tried to team up with a company one time and offered to run ads for them (they were warning systems related) but never got a response.

Even though the traffic here waxes and wanes, I find it entertaining and educational to stop in daily or even more often.
I just sent David a check for this years enjoyment and would encourage anyone else who finds it so to do the same.
He says the cost is about a dollar per member. I guess you can measure for yourself how much you get from it.
